Why don't you use WordPress?
Static sites are faster, more secure, and simpler to maintain. They're also cheaper to host, which is how I keep prices low.


Will my website work on mobile devices?
Yes. Every site I build is responsive - it should look fine on a phone, a tablet, or a desktop. I test across common browsers before handover.


Can I tell how many people are visiting my site?
Yes! Standard and e-commerce plans include privacy-focused analytics (GoatCounter). You'll have a login you can use on your own, or you can send me an email and I'll give you a simple summary


Is there a minimum hosting term?
There are absolutely no lock-in contracts. You can pay monthly, or pay yearly for 10% off. Switch between the two whenever you want.


Can I take the website you built & host it somewhere else?
It depends. Because I don't charge for design, it wouldn't be fair to pay for one month, have me design your whole site, and then move somewhere else. But if you aren't happy with my service you're always welcome to move. If you've been a long term client, I'll gladly help you transfer your website, too. I'd rather use common sense and an honour system than have hard or fast rules here.


What if I don't want hosting - can you just design a website for me?
Sure, I'm always happy to work out an arrangement that suits your needs. It's not what I usually offer, but please reach and out, and I'll do my best!

What's with all the cassowaries?
Even though they're commonly touted as the world's most dangerous bird, cassowaries are actually shy, and have a diet of 90% fruit, and 0% human. They're a keystone species in rainforest ecosystems, plus they have a fancy hat (called a casque)!
